Clyde Aspevig: born in Rudyard, Montana, a small farming community just south of the Canadian border. Growing up in a demanding, agricultural, environment, Clyde developed both a tremendous work ethic and a great love of nature. He watched his family and friends struggle working the land in a harsh climate to provide for the needs of their families.
At a very early age, Clyde's ability as an artist was supported and encouraged by his family. His father became Clyde's first collector by buying one of his paintings when he was but twelve. From those humble beginnings, a great artist emerged.
Clyde has won nearly every significant art award in the United States. His work can be found in art collections across North America as well as in several museums. His success has only furthered his drive to excel. Clyde continues to travel in order to view great paintings of the masters and learn from their techniques. He searches for books to add to his impressive collection. Most importantly he utilizes the lessons learned as a child in Montana. He works hard, always aware of the fragile environment around him.
Clyde was indeed born with a special gift. To that gift, he has added great passion and a commitment to become the very best.
