| A true outdoorsman of the American West, Paco Young`s paintings have evolved into a loose style that conveys the wild beauty of his surroundings in Montana.
| His affinity for nature stems from his boyhood in Tennessee. A talented musician, Young intended to seek a career in Nashville, but discovered art, graduating from Memphis Academy of Arts.
Traveling extensively, he has honed his technical skills with professional art tours, invitationals and group exhibits. Young`s oil paintings are timeless and full of vitality. "I have always considered myself a landscape painter who enjoys the use of wildlife as a counterpoint," he says.
The recipient of numerous honors and awards, Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum selected his artwork for several of their exhibits; he was named Artist of the Year for Rocky Mountain Elk (1988), Quail Unlimited (1995), Ruffed Grouse (1996) and NRA (1998/99).
